I thought this was funny.
A new battle has emerged regarding a controversial power line that will run through northern Peoria near Lake Pleasant.
American Public Service Co. has submitted a request to the Arizona Corporation Commission to make changes to the Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee's approved route along Arizona 74.
"American" Public Service? I can understand simple typos and spell check breakdowns. I can understand using "hauled" into court instead of "haled" and I can understand confusing "lede" with "lead," or making the mistake that someone "poured" over documents instead of "pored" over them, but how in the world does a reporter--and her editor--mess up the name of the state's largest utility?
Maybe it escaped notice because the most of the Rep's "staff" these days are mostly qualified to be interns, not actual reporters or editors. Of course, while their titles may be "reporter" or "editor", their paychecks say "intern."
Greg, while we may not agree on issues, we do agree on the amount of quality MSM journalism in AZ.
There isn't any.
When the best investigative reporting is produced by an alternative weekly that is more devoted to entertainment and nightlife, the MSM should be hanging its head in shame.

Here's a suggestion for the RAG ... from Gizmodo ...

It seems to me, the problem is that they don't make dorm residents pay their own power bills. Maybe if the Republic required its "reporters" to move into off-campus housing, they'd have seen an APS bill.

Or maybe the reporters and editors get their bills from Southwestern River Project, er, Saguaro River Project, uhm, Super Bowl River Project ... whatever.
