Tom Horne on the District 3 Race
I've mentioned Superintendent Tom Horne as a possible candidate for the District 3 race. Mr. Horne has responed in the comments section.
"I'm flattered to have been mentioned, but my term as state Superintendent of Schools is until 2010, and this is the most important thing for me to be doing."
Mr. Horne has an excellent article in today's Phoenix Republic (that little insert) in the paper on the Roosevelt School District situation.
It isn't going to make him many friends south of the Maricopa Freeway but it needed to be said and he said it well.
He gets my vote for whatever he runs for just on the basis of his intestinal fortitude to take this issue on publicly.
