Well Rounded

Bolick_book_2I've always wanted to write the great American novel.  My previous starts have all read like columnist Dave Barry's entries in a bad Hemingway contest.

"The old man's best days were behind him; he spent his nights at the "cafe chat mort" drinking absynthe with women who were once beautiful and thinking of the bull fights and the war...the old man's mind wandered to the question that had plagued him since the death of his wife...why are bike and Nike spelled the same but pronounced differently."

I should probably stick to blogging.  So I was impressed when I received a post card from local attorney Clint Bolick announcing the publicaion of his first novel.

Cool. I worked with an acquaintance of Bolick's when I was at Morgan Stanley, and suddenly felt a little safer to know the big IJ guy was a local.
