We hear from businesses all the time that want to "get their name out there." They make it sound as if once your name is "out there" the customers just show up begging for your product or service with their wallets open. Obviously, that's not how it works. Wanting to simply be "out there" is a sign of an immature or ill-conceived marketing plan. Think more specifically about your intended customers, then think about what they read, like, do, etc. You don't just want to be "out there," you want to be in front of your intended customer. You want them to convert to customers. There's a big difference between customers and curiosity seekers.
