I went on a run with an old iPod this evening and was taken back a few years to a much different time and space in my life. The songs reminded me of places in Arizona, friends and people I worked with, and, of course, family and life activities. It was easy to wax nostalgically for a while as the soundtrack of my past rattled through my head, and indeed I did. But, it was a welcome moment when a timeless classic came into the musical rotation, snapping me back to the present and the immediate and wonderful realization that, inevitably, we always move forward, looking to the future with hope, gratitude and strength.
I hope you enjoy this mostly instrumental, completely rockin' version of the Bob Marley classic, "Lively Up Yourself" as performed by Gov't Mule on December 28, 2007 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
I hope you enjoy these tracks from the recent Keller Williams / Gov't Mule show at the Beacon Theatre. It was a great night full of amazing music. Here is Keller performing "Rock and Roll All Night" and his own special version of "One More Saturday Night."
